Welcome to the Shuri Karate Dojo Website. I hope you find your visit to our website informative and interesting enough for you to return.

My purpose for building this website has been to promote our Dojo, style and ideals and to help the beginning karate-ka find material of interest, that may help them decide to start their martial arts journey with us at the Shuri Karate Dojo.

There is much more to karate than mere sport, fighting or competition. I sincerely believe that karate is a life long study, ultimately learning about oneself through the rigours of constant training, challenge, success and failures. Whether this is your ultimate aim of studying karate, is of course personal choice. Karate can be many things to many people.
